Made from two blocks of Carrara marble, it gets milled and smoothed by master artisans who guarantee precision and accurate finishing.
Find out about James Irvine
James Irvine studied design at the Kingston Polytechnic Design School in London, then got a degree from the Royal College of Art. Following this he met a young Jasper Morrison, who would later become one of his dearest friends and working partners. After graduating he moved to Milan, where he worked with Michele De Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass. There he opened his studio in 1998, collaborating with international brands such as Cappellini, B&B Italia and Magis.

Marsotto Edizioni debuted in October 2009 with its first collection of multifunctional furniture complements for storaging and displaying, strictly monochrome, in white Carrara marble. In April 2010 the company established its final strategy by introducing itself to the large audience of Milan's Salone del mobile. Since then, under the art direction of James Irvine, Marsotto Edizioni has raised a collection of pieces referring to an international culture, which reflects the team of designers that are enthusiastically taking part in the project.
