More about Paolo Venini
Paolo Venini was born in Milan in 1895. A lawyer with a family history of glass making, he founded Venini & C. together with the antiques dealer Giacomo Cappellin in 1921. Venini brought the art of Murano glass to important events in Europe and the United States, including the Triennale di Milano and the Biennale di Venezia. With an astute business mind, his aim straight away was to expand his company abroad, and he collaborated with the most capable architects and designers of his time who acted as artistic directors.
