SMART WATER FOR GREEN SCHOOLS
YOOXYGEN supports the new initiative by Green Cross International for the building of rainwater cisterns. The project promotes hygiene-sanitary education as well as water conservation, benefiting the development of schools situated near aquifers. The main ambition behind this project is to reach out to struggling communities worldwide.
HERE ARE THE RESULTS FROM THE PILOT PROJECT STARTED IN GHANA IN FEBRUARY 2010:
  • · Clean water and functioning sanitary equipment for over 14,000 people
  • · Increase in schooling rates
  • · Teaching activities in how to use water responsibly to over 50 members of local communities
  • · Involvement of 40 more schools in a variety of countries over the next 24 months
