Mathew Barney, an artist internationally renowned for his Cremaster video cycle, presents a new artistic project with the emblematic title Drawing Restraint, which explores the ties between restriction and creativity through a metaphoric look at the process of physical and psychic limitations in an artist’s life. The work merges different kind of media—performance art, sculpture, video art and photography—in an unusual surprising way. The scenery and paintings used in the making of the movies will be presented for public viewing at the exhibition, while the actual projection of the final movies will be reserved for a selected group of private clients.
