Pandora Design was founded in 1998 as a company involved in event catering services. This experience paved the way for creating a high quality alternative to cutlery. In 2000 Daniela Danzi, the creative mind behind Pandora Design, decided on the company’s direction: temporary tableware. In 2001 the jury of the 19th Compasso d'oro awarded Pandora Design with the coveted international prize, recognizing the importance of its development of disposable utensils, which progressed even further with the production of biodegradable cutlery.
