This necklace has been made by hand. It was created out of the need to express passion through the use and “re-use” of already existing materials. The study and careful attention paid to details allows us a glimpse of the jewels’ past, giving new life to previously forgotten accessories. The availability of valuable materials that may be recuperated ensures the limited production and singularity of these pieces.
Expressing a passion through the use and "re-use" of materials from already existing objects is the creative vision behind Federica Salvatori Franchi's jewelry project. Each item resurrects bygone jewelry and accessories while offering a glimpse into their former lives with a carefully studied selection of details. The project's production is limited due to the hard to find nature of high quality materials that can be re-used, creating a line of extremely unique jewelry items.
