Every piece is built from a metal structure comprised of single steel sheets that get joined together and then welded by hand. Once assembled, the candlestick is brought outside and subjected to a simple spray of water. The metal, brought into contact with water, rusts, imparting a transformative, decorative process. The artisan workmanship and different layers of rust that form on the surface help give each piece a unique character.
