Kettle
This kettle (1983) was the first designed for Alessi. The central element is the copper whistle which contains two chords that emit a small but gracious melody at the moment that the water comes to a boil. Sapper wanted to avoid the usual shrill noise that all kettles on the market made at that time. Following his poetic idea produced Alessi's first multi-sensory object. designing technically complex objects-from ships to watches.
