With the new series NATURELLEMENT, Babled expresses his interest in the potential of materials other than glass, creating fluid, organic forms evoking soft, sinuous bodies as complex and inseparable as Siamese twins. The exceptional white color and the perfectly smooth surface of the freeform shape give the ceramic vase a supple quality. A limited edition series, 33 pieces.

Emmanuel Babled

Babled was born in France in 1967 and graduated in industrial design from the European Institute of Design in 1989. After working in Paris, he opened his own studio in Milan in 1995. He has designed products for many companies including Baccarat, Covo, Giannini, Idee Co. Ltd., Laurent Perrier, Macef, Marzorati Ronchetti, Outlook Zelco, Rosenthal, Venini, ViceVersa and Vistosi. Babled has had a number of one man shows (in Europe, Asia and North America), produces limited edition items, and is also a consultant for companies, covering product design, craftsmanship, graphics and art direction. Babled has organised exhibitions and events such as the Fusion show (Milan 1999), Sputnik (Milan 2000) and Smash (Milan, New York, Paris, London, Tokyo 2001). Since 2001 Babled has been working with the Domus Academy in Milan and the Design Academy of Eindhoven. He was recently appointed by the European Institute of Design as director of the department of product design.

The project Superego was conceived of in 2003 at Movimento Moderno, a company operating in the design, decorative arts and modern antiques sector. With the cooperation of some of the most important Italian and international designers, Superego sets out to create exclusive collections of limited edition ceramic and plexiglass design items.
