Enrico Bertorelli was born in Turin in 1984. He attended the Fine Arts Academy, where he studied graphic arts. In 1996, he started creating graffiti art, improving his spray and felt pen techniques and experimenting with street art. While at the academy he also worked with traditional techniques such as painting, engraving, lithography, sculpture and computer graphics as well. In 2000, he started a new project: first pop-style astronauts and then robots on the walls of Turin. Eventually, the graphics evolved as did the technique and the materials. For two years he has been reproducing robots on tiles that are then stuck to walls, arcades and inside bars. During this same period he began to sign his tiles with the tag Pixel Pancho.
The project Superego was conceived of in 2003 at Movimento Moderno, a company operating in the design, decorative arts and modern antiques sector. With the cooperation of some of the most important Italian and international designers, Superego sets out to create exclusive collections of limited edition ceramic and plexiglass design items.
