Fashion's latest rising star makes his yoox.com debut with the SS 2012 “Echo Loves Narcissus” collection-- fluid and draped forms that evoke the Greek Myths in a thoroughly modern way.

Plus, the Greek born designer adds a yoox.com exclusive - an iconic "Y caftan-dress" in gray and yellow silk.
ANGELOS BRATIS
FOR YOOX.COM
A relentless arbiter of new talent, yoox.com has proudly tapped emerging designer Angelos Bratis to celebrate the mid-January launch of yoox.com in Greece. To honor the occasion, the Athens-born, Rome-based designer has designed - exclusively for yoox.com - a “Y” caftan-dress in gray, adorned with a bold yellow letter “Y.”
“The idea of the Y came from looking at the yoox.com application on my iPhone – the letter Y, a fantastic Greek symbol”, says Bratis, who started breathing fashion as a child in his mother’s studio.Bratis’s entire SS 2012 line-up, “Echo Loves Narcissus,” is a further tribute to the designer’s origins, mixed with his fascination for social networks and all things digital. Filled with fluid silk forms that are bias cut, draped and ruched, the mood is both poetic and graphic.
Bratis is a clearly a star on the rise— winner of the 2011 edition of Who’s On Next, the designer has presented his collections during fashion weeks in Athens, Rome and Paris. All signs suggest he too is a "fantastic Greek symbol."
