by Paul Smith
with Livia Firth, Paul Smith, Lily Cole and more...
The collaboration between yoox.com and sustainable fashion pioneer Livia Firth, creative director of Eco-Age, continues this holiday season. She's handpicked four brands, all innovators in eco-friendly fashion, to design exclusive items just for yoox.com. Each one is modeled by a green style star—and with each one you can feel great about giving.
- Paul Smith
Inspired by men's tailoring, but mastering the feminine silhouette, Paul Smith shows his signature creativity and design know-how while using prized organic New Zealand silk and wool. It was first worn on the red carpet by Firth, and now anyone can get the glamour while doing good.
- The North Circular
The North Circular has a clear mission: support and promote manufacturing and craftsmanship in the UK (not to mention make undeniably cool hats, gloves, scarves and the like). Label co-founder Lily Cole models her company's headband, hand-knitted by artisans using ethically produced wool.
Our attachment to iPhones and iPads makes the cases made especially for them the newest must-have accessories. Luckily, Mink has crafted these entirely vegan gold "saffiano" versions, handmade by Florentine craftsman. Downton Abbey actress and singer Elizabeth McGovern wears them well.
- She Died of Beauty
Co-founded by British supermodel Erin O'Connor, She Died of Beauty is the ultimate irony-meets-ethics t-shirt and accessory label. She wears the newest black-and-white style that says "She Died of Inspiration" for yoox.com.
From street-style by Valentine Gauthier and Kami Organic, to fabulous red carpet gowns by Giulia Rien à Mettre and Beulah, eco-shoes by Cociclo, Ilse Jacobsen and Beyond Skin, to coats by Henrietta Ludgate, green style is taking a big step forward, embracing the entire wardrobe, for every occasion. Look for jewelry, bags and even beachwear, by Carmina Campus and Joanna Cave at Sofia Retro Bazaar. Livia Firth draws on big design names and niche brands to personally put together a unique selection of garments and accessories, all made using natural fibers, recycled fabrics, reused materials, as well as non-polluting packaging techniques.
