Table lamp

The Toobe lamp is available in both floor and table versions. It is based on the idea of using an extruded tube of PMMA which, thanks to innovative colouration technology, has a surprising fading effect. The line is simple and modern; Toobe diffuses soft and warm light. The energy-saving light bulb included lasts up to 10 times longer and consumes up to 5 times lessenergy than traditional incandescent light bulbs; Toobe respects the environment and has become the first Kartell lamp with an eco-friendly soul. The handle in the lamp body makes it functional and easy to move.

Ferruccio Laviani is part of a generation of young Italian designers who came to prominence in the early 1990's when the Memphis movement made its mark on international design. Laviani's Orbital Lamp, manufactured by Foscarini, perhaps his best known design, uses colour-saturated biomorphic shapes for glass shades, with an angular, tapering metal base. Supernova™' clever design combines shape, shadow and light to exude an explosive movement. His Bourgie lamp combines classical design with the modern material of plastic to give a contemporary and elegant look.

An Italian engineer's idea of turning our habitat into a plastic dream created a new language for the domestic scenario.
