A note from the designer: “When I think about jewellery, I always think of the scene in that wonderful film “Harold and Maude” in which Harold gives Maude a ring. Maude is very pleased but, after saying that people should not get attached to objects, she throws it into the river so that she can feel close only to the memory and the emotion inside of her. I hope that this piece can accompany someone throughout their life and provide many long-lasting memories”.

- Since 1970 the history of manufacturing silver objects has been renewed by San Lorenzo. This Milan-based company integrates the traditional skills of the silversmith with technology borrowed from applications outside its world and introduces an unusual way of looking at silver: that of the architects-designers who are asked to create silver objects, giving preference to the nature of the material but recalling formal conventions. San Lorenzo is a pioneer in hunches and the ways in which these are revealed; its artefacts are the result of precise, structural, design-oriented decisions that are therefore neither occasional nor episodic. The dual concept silver-design is obvious. A new expressive language for silver has been created and established with San Lorenzo and is being immediately perceived as such by international critics.
