- Maurizio Stagni was born in Trieste in 1958. He became an apprentice goldsmith in 1979, at a workshop in Valenza. After years working in jewellery repair and restoration, Maurizio opened his own workshop-showroom and forged links with artists and sculptors, with whom he is constantly in contact. In the meantime, he also worked on book illustration and painting. With the opening of a new workshop, Maurizio fleshed out his artisan product and jewellery business with the design of industrial gadgets and serial design production. His work has appeared at a number of exhibitions. He is the co-founder of the Italian association of contemporary jewellery (AGC).
