More about Juan Carlos Viso
Juan Carlos Viso (Juanco) was born in 1973 in Caracas where he graduated in industrial design in 1998 from the Instituto de Diseño. He moved to Milan to attend the master’s programme in design at the Domus Academy. From 1999 to 2001 he worked with Studio Dordoni on creative research for furniture, object and accessory design for Minotti, Molteni & Co, Breil and D&G. Since 2001 he has been working with professional architects and fashion houses like +ARCH, Studio Ortelli, VSM46, Armani, Missoni and Sergio Rossi. In 2002 he won the “Designboom & Sotheby’s rocking chair competition” and the “MACEF young design competition”. During 2004/2005 he forged a working relationship with Lorenzo Bustillos, concentrating on graphic work, interior and product design and collaborating with Banal Extra and Diamantini & Domeniconi. He currently lives and works in Milan.
