My interest is not in the individual item but all of them as a whole, or, more simply, an entire collection of objects”. The sense/nonsense of Mendini’s words is a poetic and aesthetic message in his language as author/artist/director/craftsman of the composition. These ceramic totems created for Superego express a metaphysical tension in their similar yet always different individual forms, both harmonious and mock-classical. The methodological approach derives from post-modernity. Sense with a capital S is in the study of modules, leitmotifs and the individual forms of each element, which when combined together unify the group’s color scheme. A limited edition series, 50 pieces.
