Candle holder

Entirely handmade by expert artisans from Sheffield, Gelam T-Light is a curved candle holder made by starting from a pewter disc. Attached to a special lathe, it is ground by hand by a metal lever that gradually deforms the borders. The result is an object of soft, sophisticated lines, which folds upon itself to envelop the candle within. Once the shape is created, the raw piece gets polished to impart a suggestive reflective effect on the surface.

With her distinctive fusion of minimalist refinement and structural precision, British designer Miranda Watkins creates innovative designs for the contemporary living. Entirely adaptable across space and scale, her designs bridge the boundaries between design and art. She creates objects that are thought provoking, visually engaging, often tactile, sometimes playful and always pleasing to use as well as to look at. She has the deepest respect for skill and technique, often working closely with highly skilled craftsmen.

Our company was founded in 1949, by Arthur Richard Wentworth, a skilled pewter craftsman from Sheffield's pewter heritage. He initially made his own pieces at home and sold them out of a suitcase, rapidly achieving success with quality products at affordable prices.The Wentworth name and his memory live on in the present company, which is still committed to producing products to the highest quality. We are constantly introducing new designs to ensure that the skills of the craftsmen and the beauty of the material are universally enjoyed.These same traditional skills and the same lead-free alloy have been used to make our product today.
