More about Carlo Scarpa
Carlo Scarpa (1906 – 1978) was a Venetian architect, designer and academic. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice where he began his professional career; Scarpa was a university lecturer up until 1977. After the Second World War he established himself as an architect with important projects such as the Paul Klee exhibition at the XXIV Venice Biennial and the Italia Padilion at the XXVI Venice Biennial. He began his collaboration with Venini in 1932 and was artistic director up until 1946. He has left his legacy on model design and in the development of the most refined techniques.
