- The New Museum is the only museum in New York City exclusively devoted to contemporary art. Founded in 1977, the New Museum is a center for exhibitions, information, and documentation about living artists from around the world. From its beginnings as a one-room office on Hudson Street to the inauguration of its first freestanding building on the Bowery designed by SANAA in 2007, the New Museum continues to be a place of experimentation and a hub of new art and new ideas.

About the work
The End Edition By Julia Chiang is handmade of solid ceramic and each half has the weight of a brick. It can be a free standing sculpture or function as bookends. Each is unique in shape and color combination. Initialed and Numbered Edition of 25
About the artist
Julia Chiang:
Julia Chiang lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She was recently listed among the 100 Artists to Watch by Modern Painters. She has exhibited at places such as colette, Half Gallery, Bill Brady KC, Nanzuka, OHWOW, and Deitch Projects. Julia uses text and familiar imagery that often finds its way through her various mediums. Her process is often repetitious and reveals the imperfections and efforts of the handmade.
