More about Christian Ghion
Born in 1958 in Montmorency, France, Ghion received his law degree in Paris in 1982. He studied at the Ecole du Louvre and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI), graduating in 1987. A designer, interior designer and set designer, Ghion also teaches at the Ecoles des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Etienne, Reims and Rennes. He reworks iconographic archetypes using innovative materials and constructing pieces playing with basic shapes. His interior design works range from homes to shops and public spaces. He has also created the layout for many exhibits and shows in Paris and Tokyo. Nominated Designer of the Year in 1990, Ghion has also received other prestigious international awards. Some of his pieces are part of the permanent collections of the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.
