Denim waistcoats

Originally worn as a way to hide suspenders—a requirement in polite society once upon a time—today vests have found a new calling in the modern male wardrobe. It can be single or double-breasted, with or without a collar or buttons, but it has to be made from denim. Go for crisp white or light blue washes, or classic navy blue and black if you prefer darker tones. Pick your favorite.
