Ferm Living
The newer Danish Brand, Ferm Living, heir and successor to a long line of Nordic design tradition, combines meticulous, linear aesthetic research with natural elements – such as paper, cotton cord, raw silk and cork – in a creative and original manner. Founded in 2005 by ingenious designer Trine Andersen, Ferm Living offers countless items ranging from lamps, cushions, glasses, textiles, vases, kitchen accessories and decorative stickers, all of which are ultra-modern and already unmistakable, despite their brief history. The mélange of retro tendencies, striking colours, clean lines, unrefined materials and craftsmanship gift us with blown glass where air bubbles enhance the transparency of the material and archaic ceramics from fortuitous and deep castings. There are also shapes solely composed of geometrical metallic lines and objects that are unfalteringly white and minimalist. The world of Ferm Living can be described as magical and varied, full of life, elegance and fantasy.
