NATHALIE DU PASQUIER
THE FASCINATING ALLURE OF GEOMETRY, SPANNING ART AND DESIGN
The work of internationally renowned designer and artist Nathalie Du Pasquier combines architectural rigour with wide-ranging forms and influences, resulting in a mix that is powerfully original and immediately recognisable.
In 1980, she became a founding member of the legendary Memphis group – led by Ettore Sottsass.
Thanks to her love of travelling in Africa, she has designed carpets, furniture, objects and textiles with animal-like textures, totemic shapes and ritualistic, decorative patterns.
When the group was disbanded, she concentrated on painting and ceramics which she used to develop her aesthetic and anthropological approach that has distinguished her style, craftsmanship and originality since the outset.
A fascinating and evocative piece, showcased in countless design and contemporary art exhibitions, is now available on YOOX. For true connoisseurs!
Born in Bordeaux in 1957, Nathalie Du Pasquier has lived in Milan since 1979, where she co-founded the renowned Memphis group. Designer and artist, her works have made design history and her paintings are internationally acclaimed.
