Laboratorio Paravicini
The artisan Laboratorio Paravicini, a Milan-based producer of thin ceramic tableware sets, uses poetry to describe itself, “Upon request, exclusive designs are transferred by hand using a brush or serigraph printing. The technique involves under glazing and high firing. Made in house. Any drawing is possible, whether repeatable or different each time. Production of single pieces or infinite collections. Plates, tea and coffee sets, cachepots, vases, tiles, candlesticks, centerpieces and party favors." In operation since the early nineties, the Paravicini Laboratorio already possesses the air of a great classic owing to its decision to give porcelain back what industrial manufacturing took from it: Heat and atmosphere. One only has to look at a Paravicini plate to understand how the thin white ceramic produced in-house and the decorations woven into the intricate designs make the Laboratorio artisan plates attractive, unique items that are just as at home in prized collections as they are on a dinner table. The company keeps one eye on the quality of the past and the other on contemporary design.
