YATAY is the world’s first sustainable luxury sneaker brand. Their shoes are characterized by lightness, flexibility and scratch resistance. YATAY faux leather comes from 70% ecological material, including 50% natural hemp and 25% recycled polyester. The Italian brand calculated its CO2 impact, halved it by using solar panels for leather production, and now absorbs even more by planting a tree for every pair of shoes sold. Every YATAY has a different code on the back of the shoe. This number corresponds to the number of trees planted to date, and allows their owner to plant a tree using their website, which then allows them to track its age, height and the amount of CO2 absorbed.
